ABOUT US | OUR SERVICES | FOCUS ON CHILDREN | EVENTS | VOLUNTEER Volunteers are always needed to support Sisters Place staff members
Sisters Place held its second Volunteer Recognition Dinner on April 7, 2011, at Morning Star Baptist Church in Clairton, Pennsylvania. We are grateful to our generous and dedicated volunteers for your contributions. (See below for opportunities and contact information.) Our very first volunteers were members of the Tri-Diocesan Leadership Conference (TDSLC), which founded Sisters Place 17 years ago (1993) as an outgrowth of their interest in serving the poor in our community. We continue to thank our Founders for their vision and support. Volunteers continue to provide valuable assistance to Sisters Place by mentoring children, helping with the after-school program and summer camp, collecting goods for our families, preparing mailings, maintaining the website, and a host of other activities.
